This workshop will include a brief and basic overview of the history and evolution of tuning as well as a direct comparison of the two tuning systems in plain and digestible language.
Tom Flowers is a Registered Piano Technician with 27 years of experience and range of expertise in harpsichords, fortepianos, and other early keyboard instruments. His background includes 10 years of classical and jazz piano studies, as well as conducting and orchestration.
In the ’80’s, Tom worked as a recording engineer, arranger, and composer of jingles as well as well documentary soundtracks. His compositions have been heard on such TV networks as NBC, A&E, and Discovery.
Tom resides in both Prescott and Phoenix with his wife Debbie, is the father of 3 and grandfather of 2 and has a psychotic dog named Dibbs.
