Welcome to the East Valley Music Teachers Association!
Since 1987, EVMTA has proudly served as a vibrant community of music educators in Phoenix’s East Valley. As a nonprofit organization affiliated with the Music Teachers National Association and the Arizona State Music Teachers Association, our mission is to support and uplift both independent and collegiate music teachers through education, inspiration, and connection.
At EVMTA, there’s something for everyone. We offer a wide range of enriching opportunities for teachers and students alike—from exciting performances, collaborative projects, and masterclasses to competitions, exams, chamber music events, social gatherings, and more. We encourage teachers to grow professionally through dynamic workshops and valuable pedagogical resources. Students also have the opportunity to earn scholarships and awards that recognize their dedication and talent.
We warmly invite all members to take part in our meetings, share ideas, and help shape the future of our musical community. Volunteering is always welcome and deeply appreciated—it’s how we continue to thrive together.
