Susan Martinez is a pianist, freelance accompanist and private piano teacher residing in Arizona. She grew up in the Midwest and earned a Bachelor of Music degree from St. Olaf College in Minnesota. After college, she accepted a teaching position in Anchorage,  Alaska. There she also earned a psychology degree from the University of Alaska. Susan became a member of MTNA in 1979 and holds permanent national certification. She has served as the church pianist at Gilbert Presbyterian Church (Gilbert, AZ) since 1989. Susan is extremely grateful for our national, state, and local associations. EVMTA has provided her and her students with countless opportunities!  Her goal in teaching each student is to make them independent musicians who can enjoy playing throughout their entire life.

Susan lives with her husband and 2 young adult children, and maintains a large private teaching studio in Chandler.
